Also, Anna is nominated as "best italian game" for the Drago D'Oro, the italian video game award. UPDATE: While Anna didn't win, it was in the final five of the competition and got great praise by everyone. We applaud the worthy winner Battleloot Adventures. Check the game out if you havent already.

Many greetings,
Chris

....well you know, your userbase here is English. >_> I could slap them into Google translator but it won't be good.

Apparently they have a large userbase in other non-English speaking countries as well, since they got so many reviews there. I'm pretty impressed by the amount of languages this game supports too.

Anyhow I was just wondering how bigger this update is, since I've been interested in this game for a while but kinda forgot about it after forgoing for some other games in the past. If it adds a lot of content, levels? Or something, cause from what I read it's content but I can't really grasp how much new stuff, not having played myself. Also I'd suggest you guys pin the official announcements to the top so it's easier to find :D

I found the Google translation of those reviews to be quite readable.

Dreampainters are an italian developer. So that is why italian websites were eager to review the game.

If anybody is interested, there are three professional Metacritic reviews so far, the scores are: 80, 80, 75, and an average of 8.5 from users. Pretty good! Not enough reviews for an average from professionals yet, though.

Yeah we hope to get some of the above reviews in the MC list so we get an averge listing.

Hey Metacritic now has enough reviews for an average score so I asked the Valve team to link the store page to that MC page. It now displays a 79/100 which is pretty cool. :)

I didn't like the first version very much, like I said on GamesVillage to one of you developers (I think), the general setting and atmosphere were pretty good, but there were too many confusing things that didn't make any sense, so for me it was a job half-done, and it was a shame because it had potential.
I'm glad to say that I enjoyed the EE a lot, now every puzzle has a logical sense and the hints through the game helps a lot to understand them on your own without having to rely on the in-game help. Also, the books and everything really make you comprehend the story this time, and the soundtrack is much more beautiful than before. The end theme is awesome.

For me, that's how Anna should've been right from the start, and I'm happy you decided not to abandon it to its destiny (like other developers do with their games) but instead to take the time to improve it and make it the nice and disturbing horror game it deserved to be.

So, thumb up! :)

Thank you very much! We really appreciate that!

Congratulations - had to sleep with the lights on for a few nights ;) The story unravelled at a comfortable pace and the puzzles were hard, but not impossible. I'll definitely recommend it to others.

:) Great to hear! Thank you very much!

while i did get this game for free from the guy's at the Omerta: City of Gangsters team, i must say your game's atmosphere and puzzles as well as the extended edition that you made is well worth the money! I'll be keepeing an eye out for your future titles ;)
