does anyone know how to fix the lift glitch for city street III

I am river and trying to get away from the cyberman and i have looked up the walkthrough and it says that there are things that are't appearing on my game like the hats on the bottom level. plus the lift won't go up.... any ideas?

and then i get out of there after a lot of pressing up on the lift and it glitches with the doctors lift

For the lift, you have to rest momentarily before the lift will move. If you keep moving your character around (even inside the lift), the lift will not work.
