MINI REVIEW – RESIDENT EVIL 5
Genre: Action / Co-op
Release year: 2009
☺A blast to play with a partner
☺Cutscenes are short, sweet and done right
☺Fun shooting mechanics and satisfying melee attacks
☺A huge selection of different upgradable weapons
☺Unlockables, higher difficulties and co-op arena mode add replay value
☹A.I. Controlled partner is incredibly irritiating and dull
☹Later action heavy chapters are boring
- WARNING: the game currently has a Games for Windows Live service DRM, which is very annoying according to many people, including me. However, Capcom promised to remove it complitely sometime early 2015 and replace it with Steamworks service along with achievements.
- This game is now an action game instead of a survival horror game. In my opinion, this isn't a good nor a bad thing. It's just something different and definitely worth noting. Despite that, I had a pretty fun time playing it.
- DLC for this game isn't available on PC
Personal Rating: "Worth playing"
Traditional Rating: 8/10"Have a fun ride playing the game with a friend or otherwise you'll throw the keyboard out the window because of that dull A.I. controlled Sheva."
