Can't Move Diagonally on Map with Keyboard

I'm trying to make a diagonal movement from Area 6 to Area 8 using keyboard controls and it seems impossible. Any suggestions?

its possible but basically requires perfect timing with the key presses :/

I ended up using xpadder to bind both directions to the same key press.

I can barely do it with a 360 controller.

Go to the place where Area 5 is on the map, and then move towards Area 6. While the copter is on the way press W+D (or whatever your up and right buttons are) before you get there and you should be able to go there.
