haha :) "we added multithreaded!" You mean "we took it out for FE because it was already in EWOM and now we turned the switch back on again?" Fine fine ... nice work.

Looks great for the most part, but I really don't like the melee unites starting combat next to each other.

Thanx asmodeus2 for passing this along..

Still got a clumbsy interface, which I don't want to get into at this point.

They take away mini game, level pop poker kinda, then give you another, Hero choice.

Textures lookin better, a step up, and thier edge blend.

Looks like you -need- to have tanks up front for assault starts -and- medics of some form. This will cut into army designs of quite a few stratigies. Heading towards "turtle battles". Thats not good.

Open starts way better.. IMO. Turtle battles so predicable and BOARING.

gunna watch it again later..

Uh, what the hell stardock? You add shadows, an improved interface IN SOME AREAS, and change the way you get heroes then dare to ask for 20 bucks?

This is 10 dollar DLC at BEST.

I'm guessing they'll also fix the UI for cities (which the little "grab the coins to change the order" is no good. Has to be the most frustrating part of the UI for me righ tnow.

It will be worth $20. To someone. Hence the pricetag.

Me... well I don't have that kind of money to just throw around willie-nillie so I gotta sit and wait for that bargain bin in 3 years when Elemental Gold Edition has been out for 6 months and all the expansions and mods have been done. Best Buy will have it for $20 - "hey that's a good price!"

My advice - if you're really bored and don't want to pay so much - MAKE A MOD. Go ahead! You'll have fun! And everyone will love you for it.

+1 this makes battles less tactical

Its not just a DLC guys, think of it as a redesign of the core game.

Keep in mind that its going to be included in the vanilla game for those that dont already have FE as such its more of a core redesign then an actual DLC. thats how i see it anyway.

i cant wait to see the Huge maps though, that should be interesting. i just hope the cheats will work with LH as well.

I like the part when FE still has bugs such as randomly crashing and so on, yet they want to put out a $20 expansion. Hey StarDock, maybe worry about the bugs before worrying about getting that next pay cheque eh. I bought EWoM in 2011, and the game STILL has issues. I picked up FE for cheap during the Steam Xmas sale and with all the crashing I've only been able to log a few hours here and there. Even with the game auto-saving I just lose all drive to play when it locks up anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours in. Yeah I like some changes you guys are doing, but kill the bugs before releasing this please...

Besides the textures and possibly the hero recruitment process, I honestly think this is a huge step backwards. I know it's pre-beta, and maybe these things will change, but the way the battles seem to work in this video is absolutely stupid. If you start right next to the enemy your casters have no time to cast buffs like haste on yuor units before they're in the fray.

Also, I hope the new specialization system doesn't take away my ability to have warrior heroes will awesome spells.

Remember years ago when Coca-Cola came out with the "New" Coke? Everyone got upset "we want the old Coke back! And then a year or so later, Coke said "because there was so much demand, here's "Original Recipe" Coke! And eventually everything went back to normal. (Or maybe it didn't - I don't drink any of that stuff). But the point is, Coca-Cola knew exactly what they were doing - they aren't idiots "we're going to get rid of the greatest softdrink recipe in history" - they just did the whole thing to get people upset intentionally for publicity's sake.

What Stardock does, is every expansion they upset the player-base "oh we're going to do something stupid now" and then later "look! We put it back becuase there was so much demand!" or "we're so sorry we're giving something for free (even though we told them that already when it was in beta so no news here other than for publicity's sake)" when they knew the whole time it made sense the way it was before. Stardock - duh.

And then people say the developers are dumb - no the developers are probably just fine. It's a shame that something crap gets released and then they skapegoat is the developers instead of upper management who's yanking everyone around. Just do it right the first time, sell a huge number of copies and get on to the next thing rather than dragging it out for 3 times as long than it needs to be.

i dont have any problems in that area, so maybe its your system and not the game itself.

Games can sometimes be the cause of such issues but dont forget that the PC itself can also be the cause.

That could very well be the issue, how ever judging by the fact that we still have posts on the forums about crashing and other such issues, I highly doubt it's my system. I am not running anything that is less than the recommended, and I am using all up to date drivers. EWoM and FE both have crashing issues. No other StarDock game has these issues for me. (Gal Civ 2, Demigod, Sins of a solar franchise). Out of all the games I have and play, FE and EWoM are the only ones that crash on me. I'm not sure what is going on with them, but thats the case. I will buy this expack when FE no longer crashes at random. If StarDock fixes said issue then they have a garunteed customer. Otherwise I shall be withholding my money and putting it towards something else.

Making an expansion when the base game is still littered with bugs...

I hope they back-port the bug fixes so existing customers benefit.

Thing is i dont have said issues, only time i run into a problem is when i end the turn a few times before the one before was fully ended. other then that my game runs flawlessly.
