Is this game RTS, turn based or other?
s it like a Civilization game?

Is it like the Paradox strategy games like Europa Universalis or Hearts of Iron?

Or is it just a run of the mill RTS?

Turn based, but it is not a Grand Strategy game like EU/HOI. Think more like Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic.

So it's like Civ?

I wouldn't say 'Like CIv', as in clone, but closer to CIv than the Paradox games.

I have Civ4/5 and FE-they 'feel' different. I know that isn't very helpful, sorry.

If you can, go to YouTube and search for 'Das24680'. He has a tutorial for FE as well as some LPs. Hopefully this will help you with your decision.

I buyed it yesterday. Played for 2 Hours now. It feels and looks nice. For me it is a Mixery of HOMM and Civ. with some Elements of RPG.

This game allows you to control the units in battles, unlike civ. You can also design units. It may not have the polish of civ but it has a lot more replay value, imo. It is all turn based.

a little bit disciples ? no?

Turn based yes. Game is similar to Civ and the 1996 Master of Magic classic, with more RPG aspects and customization. It is not a Civ clone.

While it's truly trying to be a spiritual successor to MoM (Stardock bought the rights to MoM and MoO, and the whole reason why I bought this game in the first place), it's closer to Civ than Master type of games.

Stardock didn't get the rights to either of those games. But yes, it is definitely closer to Civ type games than the others.

I do believe they were trying to get the MoM license at one time. shortly after that, everyone on the boards started calling the game that was later to be called E:WoM, "not-MoM".
