New Standalone... alone forever?

Hey all, just wanted to know if the new standalone does indeed contain the full Original game. The store text seems to say so, but wanted to clarify 100%

Yes it is a standalone. I just installed the beta for Legendary Heroes and it is a new install. I still have accesss to the original Fallen Enchanteress as well as LH.

Cross, are you asking if it installs both a FE, and a FE:LH install. If so, then no, it doesn't appear to at this time. I'm not sure there is a definitive answer to this yet from Stardock. I had assumed it would, but I may have been wrong.

If you are asking if you need FE already installed, then no, you definitely do not need that. This will install and play just fine as is.

I believe what is being asked is if there is any content in original FE that you won't get in FE:LH.

If u dont have separate installs i would think FE:LH standalone lacks the vanilla stuff of FE. For example because FE:LH completely overhauls Heroes it seems like u wont be able to find and lvl up the Heroes the oldway if u only bought FE:LH. And some ppl kinda liked randomly finding heroes and lvling them up randomly.
That said i dont have FE:LH so i also dont know if its really like that lol >_< (and thats also probably kinda the stuff the op wants to know for sure like if there is an option to play vanilla FE if u ONLY bought FE:LH).

Yeh, the store page says "Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes is a standalone expansion that contains all of Fallen Enchantress’ content. No prior games are required to play. "

So that made it sound like owning this game will give u all the content of the first game too.

That's why I was asking, seems a bit odd to say that, if not true.

At this point in time I own neither, but yeh, Was thinking this new one contained an updated version of the original.

"content" I would think of as the library of quests, and the beasteary/NPCs/etc. Not the game mechanic of how to level up/acquire/rules. With that interpretation, they can publish a game that plays very differently, but contains all the artistic elements of the original game.

Going by Galactic Civilizations 2, I'd say FE:LH will contain FE in full, probably even with a FE-style finding of heroes.

Just to get it straight, so if I buy this game FE-LH on steam, I get the Original FE as well - able to play and all.
I don't own either yet as well, and want to try the original game (don't mind if the game is updated to suit the exp). Seems odd that the price of FE is so high, if I get 2 games for 5$ more.

It hasn't been out long and was 50% off when LH was announced.

BUT YES. Reading the official Statements you do get both games.

@daoudi That is correct you will get the original title too. That is why those - like me who already own the standalone game FE - can buy the whole package that includes the DLC with a 50% discount. Without the loyalty discount I wouldn't have bought FE:LH because I recently bought FE in January 2013.
