I have never played a game like this before in my life. The game goes from being simplistic, to having some hard to grasp puzzle concepts which are still fun once you figure them out, to being completely ♥♥♥♥ing impossible to even someone extremely good at solving puzzles.

The last 3-4 puzzles (including the final puzzle) have no thought put into them for the average player to be able to rationalize any solution out of unless you spend hours looking over the area and just using trial and error over and over.

As for the puzzles just before the end, you can still purchase the solution for 40 orbs, however the final puzzle doesn't grant you access to any help. Even after watching a video of the final puzzle solution I was lost 30 seconds in. If you were trying to play the game at the same time as watching the video, you'll no doubt either ♥♥♥♥ up trying to follow it, or just give up since there's no way the ending is rewarding enough to make up for it.

IN CONCLUSION: This is not a game for the vast majority of players who enjoy puzzle games akin to portal or recent titles like snapshot and closure. The final puzzles are simply too frustating to take the time to solve and nearly ruin the good experience that the rest of the game made for itself. There should at the very least be an option to see the solution to the final puzzle and not leave the player to their wits when trying to solve it.

heh. I'm at 63%. heavily enjoyed it, but after getting the multigun I feel things are going to get overly complicated. last time I played I had a proper rage quit after getting annoyed with a puzzle. xD

I thought the final puzzles were smart, and I used the secret suit only for the last one. I smashed my head a bit trying to resolve it without it though, before giving up and checking the corners of the map I had missed.

The difficulty is almost entirely from the Time Gun which isn't explained or taught well. Yeah, the last few puzzles were hard, but obviously not impossible to solve without hints. Again, it's because of a new concept that isn't introduced or taught (sending light beams into the "future").

My problem wasn't with the time gun, I understood how it functioned, it was the insane difficulty for no reason of not being able to run into your past self when inside the previous time portal. That right there caused 90% of the problems I had, and didn't have me wanting to solve the puzzles since it was then about positioning and not about the puzzle.

Dito, I just don't understand why there is any problem with standing at the side of your past self. The time gun would be much easier to operate if you could -.-

BTW:I don't have the suit yet.

EDIT:Now I have the suit and it makes the whole time thing very easy. I guess it wasn't a bad idea at all to make the time puzzles harder by having to avoid yourself.

If you have the up-to-date version of the game (v1.11) then you can now make the puzzles towards the end of the game (from the time travel gun onwards) easier by adjusting the difficulty. Any games that were started before this version will be on the 'hard' difficulty but if you start a new game in v1.11 then you'll be on 'normal' difficulty. You can change it at any time from the options on the main menu.

It's a paradox.

I don't understand the complaining about some levels being too difficult. If they were normal or easy, then people would complain about the levels being too easy. I think clealry it is more fun when something is too difficult than too easy. At least it will give a sense of accomplishment afterward.

After you beat the game (if you haven't alread) watch a walkthrough for the final few challenges in the game, or just the final puzzle, and tell me that it any rational person could figure that out without looking up some sort of solution.

The portal games are easy as ♥♥♥♥, but are still satisfying.

Completely arbirtrary, not even mind bending puzzles like the last few in Gateways are 1000x more difficult and conveluted than every other puzzle in the game combined, and none of the puzzles up to that point help you solve them. That's the mark of bad game design if someone can fluently beat your entire game but is utterly stuck on the last puzzles.

Wait. Adjustable puzzle difficulties?
I've bought the game but haven't given it a try yet, but this is sounding more and more complex, on a programmer's perspective.

bah, I never play any game all the way through anyway. At $1.69, I can indulge my ADD puzzle-solving self...

Somehow i actually managed the Final Puzzles, bloody hell, talking about my mind having trouble grasping the conceps.

Like where do i want the portals, where do i want to shrink and grow, where do i want the portals to travel from a to b, where do i want the portals that turn the level around, and finally the time portals :D WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT.

Im kinda happy, it kinda brought me back to the old days, back when you didn give up, when i was stuck in Wolfesten 3d and those maze levels no map didn give up, and such.

Its actually sad to see when newer generations of gamers just give up.

Game took me around 8 hours. be a long time, since i had such a challenge in puzzle platformer.

I hope to see more games like this, game is excellent quality, the gameplay, the artstyle is AWESOME, the music is amazing.

A top quality game.

Yeah.. finally a game that isn't ♥♥♥♥ easy like every other game out these days. This generation of gamers are pathetic and are ruining the industry.
Post structuralist games suck!

Sorry, Unless you have the fastest speedrun in the world and beat the game in 1.9 hours, I suggest you actually beat the game first before saying people like me are ruining the industry for saying something is conveluted beyond belief and is in no way a challenge, when it's merely a test of wasting your time to figure out the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way to solve something.
