I need a very minimal amount of help on the final puzzle...
As in, I can't figure out how to create 4 laser beams. I do realize I need to send the beams into the future, which is how I can get 3, but I'm not sure how to send the fourth, because I reflect the two rays in two different directions if I'm trying to send both directly.

Which brings me to the small question I have: in order to solve the puzzle, do I have to use weird angles that are not n*90 degrees? Because that would make this hard as heck. It's already fairly tough, but that's hard to see through. :P

(A simple yes/no is sufficient, as I don't want to spoil it for myself. That's no fun.)

The intended solution posted by the devs on Youtube involves some angles that are not 90 degrees, but I wouldn't call them 'weird'. If you want a further hint, both lasers enter perpendicular to the time portal....

You may also want to know that holding 'Q' while you're using the mirror lets you deflect the lasers in a more precise way. The official solution doesn't require that but the one I found does, and I think it's simpler than the intended one (it requires less echoes I think...).

...oh, you can finetune it not to be n*15 degrees? That's nice to know.

That last puzzle was tough. I did it without any fancy angles. Instead I shrunk down and reflected one of the lasers as a small guy, and the other one as a normal sized guy. This gave me 2 lasers at 90 degree angles but one was offset from the other. Worked great, but took forever for me to figure it out. :)

Heh, that's a very creative one Levi... Way more elegant than the official solution IMO.

Oh man, I just watched the official solution. That looked way more complicated to me. I had my time portals reversed from his, and spent most of the time in the green-time, rather than the blue time.

You don't need to use any "weird" angles. In fact, I just used my first professor to reflect the beam. With the appropriate gateway placement, he could hit the beam into both locks with 90 deg angles, and then I just stood on the button to win. (EDIT: on normal diff)

Maybe we're playing different puzzles.
I'm playing the PC version, which doesn't have 4 locks. Or maybe I'm missing a secret puzzle?
The version I played had only the laser lock behind the door and the one closest to the wall and one laser.

Oh, there's a difficulty setting.

Anyhow, thanks for the answers! I... did not get myself to solve it by myself yet, but I have not given up. Mwahahah. But I think I will have to check at least one solution, because even though I kinda have an idea on what to do, it never works, so I'll have to check out the actual solution sooner or later.

Yeah, by the looks of it all the puzzles are the same on Hard up until you start the final push to the command center, where they can start being tricky (because multi gun). Which is why everyone's complaining about the difficulty spike.

...ah, I was trying to resize the other way around, but could never fit through the needed rotational portals when I was enlarged, so I had a feeling I was doing something wrong. Yeah, that could work..

I wound up using some not n*90 degree angles to solve. But I only really used two reflection points to get all 4 catchers, so it wasn't THAT complicated. Although I wound up using 3 echos to do this as it was easier doing the future echo of one of the reflections whilst running past before standing there again later and finishing off the past echo. The scheduling was the main tricky part, but that's solved by the optional item. I was just making it hard on myself :P
