Very much like my experience with the first game; I have extremely mixed review for this game but leaning more on the negative side.
You can check out my in-depth review for the original Dead Island here:http://gamersbuff.com/2014/08/looking-back-at-dead-island-review/
Riptide, it's pretty much the same as the original game.
However there are some things I dislike about it.
For example, alchohol can't be hotkeyed into your radial menu anymore- making quick consumption impossible.
Too bad Logan players (I'm one of them)
And seriously, the chunk load of bugs in this game. It's as if the makers of this game don't really care about it.
It shows a sign of just wanting quick-cash without bug-proofing this game.
Very similar to the original game, the satisfaction of killing the zombies is great but the novelty wears off after some countless hundreds of executions.
Now, I didn't point this out in the original review but the animation of the character attacking the enemy.... Very ameteurish.
On the get-go, you'll know these 'survivors' will never survive in a real situation with their very baby-like arm wailing style of attacking their enemies.
To sum up my experience with Riptide, despite very minor-to-none improvements over the 1st game, I'm only willing to STILL give it a [2 / 5]
In case you don't know, that's a fail
