Have they fixed it yet?

I'm a huge fan of the first, put countless hours into it on Xbox. I even preordered Riptide, but quickly returned it due to ridiculous bugs. Have they fixed respawning zombies, quirky NPCs, enviromental glitches, etc.?

I never really noticed many problems, except for some lack of optimization. Wait until a sale, I don't think full price is entirely worth it, but 10-20 dollars is.

Not really. It is a nightmare. Loading times are ungodly that you have to edit folders just for a CHANCE they will load correctly. Zombies still respawn EXACTLY like they were before. It is like a nes game, leaving a screen then coming back. Save files randomly disappear, glitchy everything. If you ever get the game again, go console. It is worse then ever on PC.

Yes the pc version is total crap and there should be somewhere we can go to get our money back after all you pay good money and expect atleast a 90%+ working game, all companies should be made to refund money if they cant put out a 100% working game on all formats,or maybe let say eg 100 of us on here have the game to play and report back our findings and proper promrammers sorting out the glitches, as for some said they get kicked from co-op thats not because they like playing on their own its because playinbg with otrhersd cause so many bugs to arrive, Myself i worked with 1 guy an d got the boat in cxhapter 3, after about 4 hours play i got back to paradise camp only to find my money counter stopped working no cash no game play, getting it touch with the programmers is a toal joke ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY CANNOT BE BOTHERD TO SORT OUT ANY PROBLEMS =NO WONDER PIRACY IS STRILL RIFE, VERY UNFAIR TO US LEGITIMATE PAYING PLAYERS, I HAVE BOUGHT 6 BIG GAMES ON THE PC AND WERE BUGGED

Bro, if I can get it to work at 30FPS with everything on medium on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little laptop, you can get it to work on whatever you have.

The game when it works runs great, but I have constant desyncing issues in coop along with crashing to the desktop randomly. Other than those two issues, i've had no problem in-game. If you enjoyed the first, this one will likely entertain you.

i have no problem running this game, there are no problems and I have to wait maybe 30 seconds at max for loading

You know.. I almost want to call you out on lieing but you can easily be having those issues.. I have not ONCE have a crash happen with Riptide. Have not had bad loading times either. My guess is your system really needs to be upgraded or update your drivers. ( Probably both )

Heck as is I only had 1 crash issue for the first game and I fixed it when I noticed it was a slight goof on the devs side ( one letter was off in one of the files.. and they released a patch that fixed it on the same day. )

As far as zombies spawning in walls? I had that happen a few times when the first Dead Island was new in the city. They fixed it. Have not once seen it happen in Riptide.

Keep in mind I have not played much of the co-op. A little bit with a friend but not much. Did not have issues when doing so in either game. ( Most people I have seen complain about that stuff is mainly due to lagg. Meaning the connections between the players are causing issues. Not fully the games fault. )

Though I did play a little bit of the first one with a random player who was using hacks. ( Speed hack, and jump hack )

im enjoying this game pretty good, its better then the first almost and yes sometiems the zombies respawn all of a sudden, but someimtes i noticed when another person joins they respawn too sometimes

this is exactly why i dont trust the devs they push development of unfinished games and then fail to fix them up seeing how many similar games the dev has going now with same tech is disturbing im expecting them to be more of the same aka call of duty
