My game is broken. Please Help!
First off I did try validating game files so none of that...

I downloaded a mod I dunno if its the mod or the game but its a problem.

Everyone in the mods comments says its working fine well maybe not but they don't seem to be complaining about any issues.

Here are my issues.

Zombies tend to just stand there and don't ever run at me AT ALL and sometimes they just stand their all in the same posistion with their heads spinning around and I can't progress through the first mission on the boat.

They like just stand there and only attack if I get close.

I will also be posting this on the mod page just in case but as I said I feel like its something more because no one is complaining and its not a mod that really messes with anything drastically.

http://www.moddb.com/mods/qmjs-mod This is the mod. I also have both DLC packs so could this be an issue?

The DLC packs should not be the issue, the way they work shouldn't affect the mod at all.

I think that you may have the mod unzipped in the wrong path. Look in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\Riptide\out\Data. There should be 9 subfolders in there, and a number of other files.

Also, when you started the game, with the mod your character should have started with a number of skill points and when you assigned them, the skill tree should have been very large compared to the unmodded game. Do you see that, or do the skills look normal?

Yes I see the skills they look modded and I started with skill points and I don't have a data folder in the documents folder.

Where did you install the mod? It needs to go in the correct place to function properly. it sounds like you have some of the files being read properly, and some not... so the location is probably the issue.

When you start the game the first time, it will create the c:\users\yourusername\Documents\Riptide\out\Settings directory, which will have two files storing the audio and video settings. (audio.scr and video.scr) If you don't see the directory I mentioned, can you search for those and tell me where they are located?

If you go into that Out directory, and put the QMJS-Mod-1.7-Data.zip file there. Selecting 'Extract' or 'Extract Here', depending on whatever program you use to open zip files, will create the data directory.

Try that out and let me know, will be online here for a while still tonight.

Yunno I think the game works now that I extracted it but one problem now I have a data file with all the stuff inside and outside the data file all the stuff that is in the data file. Will that effect anything?

It might. Generally, if there are two files with the same name and the same contents, you are probably going to be ok as long as one is in the correct place. But, especially if you like the mod, you will run into problems when it gets updated.

If you can tell easily what needs to be removed, go ahead and remove it.
If you are not sure, delete everything in c:\users\yourusername\Documents\Riptide\out except the zip file and the Setting directory, and then unzip it again. It will put everything back where it should be.

Let me know how it goes, and I hope you enjoy playing the mod.
