Did you email us at support@homehorror.com? If you haven't already, I'll just say that one or two other people have had this issue, and I'm looking into it.
If you can, email me via the address above and let me know if you receive any errors, and please describe your system specs as best you can.
Thanks,
B.
Specs:
Win7 Home Premium
intel i5 2500k @3.3 Ghz
Ati 5870 XFX
Another user (using an AMD integrated graphics chip) had a similar issue. He resolved it by manually reinstalling and updating his specific drivers. Have you tried this?
Again, if you can email us, it will be a bit easier to track.
Thanks!
B.
Like the other users with this problem, I'm also using ATI graph cards, two 5800s in Crossfire (tried disabling Crossfire and that didn't work). Since the game came out I have uninstalled/reinstalled drivers and that did not fix the problem.
On one hand, this is another in a long line of issues I've had because I chose ATI over Nvidia, which I'll never do again. At least it appears that it is an ATI card issue. On the other hand, the fact that I still can't play this game because of extreme zoom is crazy!
I hope that this eventually gets fixed, but seeing as it's been about 10 months and I still can't play...sadly Home has just been a waste of money. At least it wasn't a lot of money.
Thanks for posting; I totally feel your pain and can only apologize for the delay.
Here's the situation: since Home was created in Game Maker, a lot of odd issues (such as this one) are often because of a quirk in the middleware. There are some bugs that I am unable to reproduce and correct.
Game Maker has long since been updated, but I've been spending the last 6+ months re-coding the game for the new version, almost from scratch. Since I can't fix these bugs in the old Game Maker, I can only hope that the new release, using the brand-new code base, will do the trick.
I know it sucks that you've been waiting for so long; every week I desperate wish I could release v1.4.0, but it has been a HUGE undertaking and this is the unfortunate reality.
Do you have an iDevice by any chance? When v1.4.0 releases, let's talk and I'll see what I can do.
