Constant flashing or black screen problem....

Am I the only one with this problem? When ever I play, the screen goes black or gray every few seconds and it's really annoying. The reason I ask is because I can't find this problem on any FAQs or other discussions. Any help?

I used an old eMachines Box (ET1831-05). I upgraded the CPU and GPU from an old broken box.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 (2.9Ghz)
RAM: 3GB
GPU: Nvidia Quadro FX 1400
