What actually happened in your playthrough? *spoilers*
In mine, the main character killed everyone (which was obvious from the very beginning), he found Racheal dead in the basement, then went to a bathub and killed himself.
That's all there was to it. Very boring.

Playthrough 1 - My character concluded that he really didn't know who killed everyone, but he thought it was himself, so he ran away.

Playthrough 2 - My character was stricken with grief over the loss of Rachel, blamed Norman, and still ran away.

Playthrough 3 - Rachel apparently never existed, and was a figment of my character's grief over the loss of his job and his general irresponsibility with his financial status. He still wondered how "Rachel" had clothes at Norman's house.

The choices you make do influence the game in minor ways. It's almost as important what you don't find as to what you do.

I've played through it twice.
The first time I played through the guy decided that "Rachel" never existed and he just left.

Second time, he blamed all of the♥♥♥♥♥♥on Norman and ran away again.

I plan on playing it a few more times to see what else I can discover~
If you unlock the safe it gives a whole new perspective.

The guy had a drinking problem, shot Norman, Rachel (letter was from the main character to Norman), and he had issues with sleepwalking. Rachel wanted to leave him (hence the ticket/clothes) but it was too late. He tried to hide the body in the cellar, hence the shoddy wall-job.

Any hints on unlocking the safe? I tried a few letter combinations based on things I'd seen around the game. "DONTLOOK" and the initials of the 8 women and a couple others, but had no luck.

I just finished my first playthrough. I avoided picking up potential murder weapons when I could, showed respect to corpses (closed eyes, buried the two in the forest, etc.) and picked up all the pictures and stuff from my wallet.

In the end, I decided Rachel wasn't real, Norman hadn't done it either, but I had no idea who had. I didn't kill myself or run away, I just wondered what had happened to me and if my sleep-walking had been responsible for the other deaths.

Going to try another playthrough where I leave my ID scattered around, pick up all the potential tools and weapons and will take more risks in exploring things I ended up not seeing due to being locked out of travelling back.
