Nearly unusable mouse movement
Hello there!

I just bought the game and it looks really, really nice (visual vice, wasn't able to play yet). The thing is: I can't use my mouse, not at all. When I move it, it takes around 0.5 seconds until it actually moves. This makes it pretty much unplayable. I haven't even looked at the game yet since I can hardly navigate the menu. It doesn't seem to be a performance problem, as the movement itself is very smooth, just a horrible lag (or inertia) on every mouse move.

Anyone else having this problem, or even better, a solution for it?

Cheers!

a dual-stick controller is basically a must have to play this game sucessfully anyway, FYI. this game actually takes some cpu power. mine worked flawlessly up until the about the 4th level when a boss comes out, and then i had extreme stuttering/lag. maybe try and lower your settings temporarily to see if thats the problem

Well the thing is, the game runs very smooth. No problems at all (so far). I just tested, set the graphics settings all to low. It's not the game that lags, it's the input.
If I move the mouse a bit, it takes considerable amount of time until some action actually happens.
And yes, I guessed as much that it might be easier to play with a controller, but navigating with an unresponsive input device isn't exactly making it any easier with a controller.

Well I dunno if I will really play it, it's sad since it looks really promising. Maybe someone eventually got a fix for this issue.

I'll provide some specs:
Mouse: Logitech G700
CPU: Intel i7 M640 2.8GHz (4 cores)
RAM: 8GB
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GT 330M // Intel HD Graphics (Shared on i7, works flawless together with Geforce)

Maybe that helps to identify the problem.

You say the game runs smoothly but did you actually try to launch a game ? I really don't know how your mouse cursor could lag so bad if it went smoothly with the rest. If you have a double video card configuration, try to be sure that it's the Nvidia GPU which is active when the game is launched. Intel GPUs are just useless.

Hey there, al_kgs

I just checked and it actually runned on the Intel GPU. Seems like auto detection didn't kick in there! I switched it manually to Nvidia and now everything runs smooth. Maybe you could provide that solution somehwere? I think many laptop users have a dual GPU as of now.

But to clarify things: Yes, the game does run smooth on the Intel GPU, just the input has a huge lag.

Anyway, glad it runs now, gonna try it out for real!

I wasn't aware of these dual GPU configurations until recently when people started to mail me log files. With our limited means and extremely limited income coming from the game, we can't provide a decent technical assistance and I'm quite sorry about that. I'll take the time to create a sticky post sometime soon with solutions for the dual GPU thing and the recurring problems of cloud saves.

I have just purchased the game and I have the same issue, mouse works until actually in the game then totally dead. Actually keyboard and mouse, only ALT+F4 works. Logitech wireless combo.

if the mouse don't answer properly, it just means your computer doesn't have enough power to handle the game correctly. Same advice than above : if you have a dual card configuration make sure you don't use an Intel GPU for the game. If you don't have such a configuration, send the output_log.txt file at contact[at]alkemi-games.com. This file is found here :

Yes I would not even dream of playing this game and certain other games without my xbox 360 controller I bought used at gamestop for $22.
