This game is beautiul, humourous with very high fun factor. Imagine a mix of T.Pratchett, Tolkien and.... World of Warcrft. Thats what it felt like to me.
This is "must have" even if you're not adventure game junkie....
... and if you are - this game is your wet dream.
I still remember good old LucasArts and Sierra classics. They defined meaning of 'good adventure game' in my vocabulary, and by these terms i find "The Book of Unwritten Tales" one of best adventure game i've played in years (if not for Deponia i'd say "the best").
One important to begin with: the puzzle level is quite easy and that makes game pretty short."The Book of Unwritten Tales" is really not about solving various puzzles by randomly picking 20 items and chaotically using them on everything. It is about crafting a story with very logical and somewhat easy challanges. Yes - logical. You dont build a flamethrower only to light a candle. In "The Book of Unwritten Tales" all you need to do is to get maches. This makes game very casual and i really loved that.
The game is packed with funny situations and lots of references to other games and fantasy: like WoW, LotR and T.Pratchett Discworld. It makes this game really joyfull to play with (and this comes from 30+ y old horse).
Lastly audio and visuals are top notch! The scenography is truly beautiful, landscape and characters are very well crafted, all that with exellent choice of music and voice acting makes this game a masterpiece.
