Trouble Launching Game on OSX

I just downloaded the game on to my mac - which exceeds all the requirements for this game. But it refuses to launch it continually just crashes after saying "preparing to launch". I have tried verifying the the game cache, downloading the game again and repairing the disk permissions on my mac. The error message i get when it crashes says "it quit unexpectedly". I'm at a loss as to what to do - does anyone have some recommendations?
