Windowed mode to increase accessibility
Some gamers who have a physical disability would profit from the possibility to play the game in windowed mode.
Why does that change anything you might ask: and the answer is simple. Hol everybody can use a keyboard to push the ESC key and not everybody can use more than one mouse button. They can use tools that change the way the mouse buttons perform a right click, but that means the necessity to access said accessibility tool which is only possible in windowed mode. The same issue arises with the use of an OSK (on screen keyboard). It needs to be visible, ergo: Windowed Mode.

Thank you for reading this posting in its entirity.
A disabled gamer.

Yes, windowed mode please.
There is also no reason to force full screen.

BTW. i found a way to run it in windowed mode. It's a tool called DXWnd and it work here. Sad, if you need help configuring it just say so.

wyt yes and no ... dxwnd works fine using windows but i wanna play it on linux
the debug executable of this game had a window mode but this one has problems with mouse capture on linux ... so i would be glad if they implement a solution for all plattforms

Seing that dxwnd is not their solution i'd be glad if they implemented ANY solution.
BTW. the game seems to have a native resolution (that doesn't give black borders except in the movies) of 1680 x 1050 ... neither 4:3 nor 16:9 :/

I vote for an official fix, and I say fix because I consider this as a big problem. I hate to play in fullscreen.

I agree with fscherrer.

Yes, full screen is fine for most people. but I like to play in a window mode since I am usually multitasking on my computer. Also the mouse should not be a problem since you can lock and unlock the mouse to a window with crtl+g. That is how people play psychonauts.

Same here. A windowed mode would be wonderful for playing while doing other stuff like chatting or such. Even if you quickly want to look something up, you'd have to leave the game completely.
On another note there's that problem on Linux, where TBoUT doesn't restore the old screen resolution after quitting. I've written a workaround script, but it's still annoying. Having a windowed mode would ease that problem a bit. Even though an actual fix would be better.

I tried dxwnd in Win7. It didn't work.

Same here, I need windowed mode. I use Linux and two monitors, simply I want to use both.

It's time to bump this.
Has someone tried to contact Nordic or KING Art?
xlynx 20 jul 2013 om 7:53vm
it was mentioned on their forums quite some time ago with no plans to change it.

Too sad. Fullscreen mode sucks with multiple monitors.
