Had high hopes for this...
...Until i played the demo. Phisics are wonky and exaggerated. I believe that it was meant to be a part of the gameplay, but as a gameplay element it should be way more polished.
The weapons feel unbalanced also. The character movement is weird, feel a little floaty and lack a little maneuverability that would be very handy to dodge the boss shots.

A good game overrall, but do not expect it to quench that Metal Slug quench of yours with this one.

I thought it all worked well, the physics is different but I think thats what they intended and I actually enjoyed the way it played, had no toruble dodging attacks, weapons work well and aloow for dynamic attack/dodge patters and enable you to stack bullets.

Solid game if you ask me.

Well you should understand that only one person made this game

As a developer I appreciate the wonkyness of the physics and AI. It was intended for sure. He worked in the game for quite some time and I may be presuptuous saying this, but I bet he thought about all of the possible contol schemes and how to use physics and made a decision. It added a depth of emergent gameplay that can not be found in precision controls and predicibility of say Contra or Metal Slug. Unpredicible things happen. You can use objects and cover to your advantage without feeling like everything is scripted.

I gotta say I had high hopes for this game and it surpassed them: I enjoyed playing it on medium and love playing it on hard, especially for the small differences in the levels, gotta love all the small details that were put in just for kicks and giggles like the fish eating people that fall into the water, enemies burning and the awesome mechanical designs. Also the music is a very very big plus, at least for me, the songs in the vs grabber, shattered slide and vs mace levels are just awesome metal tracks to listlen to. I really hope there is eventually an Intrusion 3, even if we have to wait another 5 years or more for it.

I don't normally like side scrolling shooters, but this one has been pretty fun so far. It's a pretty good game were you just want to relax and waste time, I'm not in it for the story. That said, the only reason I bought it was because it was on sale, and I think i wouldn't pay more than 5 dollars for this.

Few issues with the game. Like always, "One man's trash...blah blah". I liked the game. One thing everyone should agree on is, (if you don't, I really think you're full of ♥♥♥♥) the music is god-awful. What is it? Two tracks, both on 15 second loops? Whatever. I know I couldn't progam a game by myself. So, whatever. Totally worth it for nearly $ 4.

Wow, no wonder crappy titles get support these days, some people are just too easy.

I don't care if one guy made it, it's cool but it isn't worth supporting. He needs to get a bigger team, game should run at 60fps, graphics could be smoother, gameplay doesn't feel right, I don't understand the "Contra" or "Metal Slug" comparisons because both played better than this, and the soundtrack is derivative, uninspired trash.

But yeah, one guy did it, so let's give him $10.

i have to agree with you, i dont care if a crippled boy dying of cancer who needs money for treatment, im not going to buy it just because of the circumstances behind its creation

The game has averaged 80% on Metacritic for a reason. People aren't buying this just because it was created by one guy, although that's certainly more incentive to purchase it and support what a single person was able to accomplish.

Loved the soundtrack, imo one of the best i heard for a long time in a indie game.It may be short and there could be more enemies at certain passages, but overall i am more ♥♥♥♥ed in having purchased Strike Suit Zero for 11€, which is just mediocre at best, than having bought Intrusion 2, which delivers solid action and reminds you of the good old contra times :D
