Total War Rome 2 has many improvements to its predecessor,
however, gameplay still isnt really fullfilling nor satisfying.
I would not recommend a single Total War game as of today, since they are all similiar.
After awhile i have the impression im playing a stupid game,
which makes me think it is really intelligent & smart & complex & ....
IT is not 'What you see is what you play...", but less.
Playing historical battles could be exciting, but in history every battle was unique.
In Total War every battle is just so random, there isnt any relation to what is going
on in tactial maps compared to those actions on the strategical map.
Armies don't give up early, if there is a more important goal for example, etc. etc.
Everything is so blatant, boring, without crispness, quirks & inspiration.
It is just a glimmer, of what is promised.
Maybe this kind of game needs still some time to evolve.
Not recommended, unless you really have a strong passion for computation.
Games for good tactical combat gaming are CoH and MoW.
