Will CA address Angry Joes Review?
Just curious because while I've had fun with the game Angry Joes review was spot on.

We will probably find that mods make more changes than CA will. I agree Joes review was spot on and fixes to all those problems would be amazing, but unlikely.

I think they will, to a degree, anyway. I think a lot of people have read way too much into Angry Joe's review. He does like the game! He just doesn't like the bugs, the AI and the flags in some battlefield battles. He also didn't figure out how to move siege engines when setting up his army... that's Angry Joe's problem. lol

The AI will be patched.....

That said, I do wonder about people who start their posts with "As a Total War veteran, I am disgusted with how easy the AI is!".... they shouldn't be so hard on themselves! I rarely if ever lose a battle....this may be because, as a Total War veteran, I'm actually getting better at leading an army! lol AI can only do so much, after all.

The performance issues will be patched.....

Will they get rid of the battlefield flags? Well.. that all depends on how stubborn they're feeling. If they don't, someone somewhere will mod them out so we won't have to put up with them if we really don't want to. Personally I don't hate them... sure, they can be frustrating for all the reasons Angry Joe states, but life is like that! Many Generals have faced a situation where they would have loved nothing more than to set up on the hill but, for all sorts of reasons, they cannot and, instead, have to defend some disadventageous part of the battlefied. My only problem with this mechanic is that CA could have presented it a lot better!

Angry Joe gave it a 5/10 Pre-patch (As in before the first patch) and 6/10 post-patch (As in after the first patch). That's not 6/10 even if they patch it beyond recognition.... not 6/10 a thousand patches from now.... just 6/10 after this one. I would be interested to see a follow up review from him a few months down the line.

If CA fixes the bugx and issues I'm sure Joe will be one of the first with praises.

You think Cocaine Anonymous cares about some reviews or feedback? They don't give a **** about it. Yeah, they will keep telling public: "Yes, we will fix it, we working on it, yes, yes, it will be okay, just buy the game, OK? Just buy it. Please... Buy it okay?" Pure placebo effect. They will release 5 patches that fix nothing, but players will have that feeling: "Yeah, I patched it, its better now." But NO! Just placebo. They're all master liars!

Every game of this size has bugs in it, just give it some time.

I am enjoying myself with this game, even with "some" bugs.

Nah... fair point. I can play this game pretty smoothly... Empire still runs like a turd. lol

I could hardly agree more than I do with Joe about this game. The bugs were too many and the catch the flag battles were pretty silly. I really hope that they address these issues because I love this franchise and would love this game if it only had some more polish.

Been waiting for his review, thank you for reminding me.

They already have stated they will have weekly patches, one was last friday one today..... They're doing a good job in my opinion.

Personally I've had no issues with bugs or performance. Its the capture points which are unbelievably stupid for this kind of game. How can anyone take this seriously as a tactical game when you can defeat 4000 men by standing in a field with one peasant for 50 seconds? If it wasnt so much of a let down I would laugh out loud and assume it was some kind of joke by the devs.

I'm not sure:

Over in the official TW forums some guy posted that there was a bug in the Prologue, and loads of people came back with 'give it time,' 'they will fix it,' 'stop your damn jibber-jabber you self entitled youth of today,' etc.

I posted back that the bug in the Shogun 2 advance battle tutorial (the cannon don't work unless you esc out of the verbal unit description before it ends) had never been fixed even though CA had reproduced and acknowledged it years back.

You know what happend then: The whole thread got moved to the 'Rants and Raves' forum. You can go see it for yourselves if you like.

So will they fix it?

That's something I agree with. I like the general concept of victory points, however, not the way this was implemented. Either there should be multiple victory points or (and I'd prefer that) there should be requirements for when the victory point unlocks (e.g. after defeating x% of the opponent's forces).
