AMD 7970m switchable graphics

what a dissapointment CA..... rome 2 will not recognise my dedicated GPU all it will use is the intergrated intel graphics leaving me with an uterly unplayable game. I have seen on the dedicated CA forms numerous people have the same issue and all CA are doing is ignoring it not a single mention of this problem so far!! if anybody has the same problem or knows a fix please post here any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have AMD 7970 and it works fine with my i7 4770k on this game, I have max res. and graphic options, and I still get like 60-100 FPS on large battles... I really dont know what soo many peopel complain about :)

well i have no idea whymyself and a large majority of people are having this problem but great to hear yours is working fine.... i think i may of given you detail on what people where complaining about above did u miss it?

How did You set it up and do you have it in settings of Rome 2 "game"? As I have no listing of my hd7970 but also play on good settings

i just installed it through steam. as you say i cannot select my dedicated in options. are you able to run graphics higher than medium or are the options greyed out for yourself

Well since it is a 7000 series it does have the same drivers, and CA released it what? 4 days ago, there is still a lot of fixing to do, and for people who think CA is not concerned, that is not true, they are probably trying to fix it, but if you imagine how many hours it took them to make Rome 2 and to fix a problem in a game 120 hours or 5 days just wont do it :)

It would of been amazing if they had been able to test the game with anything but nvidea drivers before release.. to release a game that does not recognise one of the most widely used top of the range GPU's is bewildering at best.

people dont understand that Rome 2 didnt had Beta, they released it as it was on the day of the official release... but I do understand that you rage when you have a brand new GPU and it doesnt work :D hehe

Why am I not having this problem this problem with my 7970? Sorry, don't know how to fix it.

Put AA down, and also de-check V-Sync then it should work like a charm, I had V-sync on and I had 60FPS, disabled, it went to 220 on the main menu and around 90 ingame :)

Im not sure about AMD, but with my nvidia laptop, i had to access the nvidia control panel and make sure Rome 2 was set to use my 670mx rather than my intel graphic by default.

This is my Clevo:

i7 3820QM HD 4000 integrated 800 MB GPU
Dedicated GPU AMD HD 7970M 2048 MB GDDR5 it isnt detected

I have the same problem, i cant put the game in high settings, because the game only detect HD 4000 (integrated GPU).

This is a important problem, because we cant put the game in high, when you try to play in high, when i am in the battlefield, the game shows this message: "The Memory of the GPU isnt enough, the game will turn down the graphics" (or similar).

I am so disappointed with this, because i bought this computer to play the games in high, or medium-high quality, and i cant to move Total War Rome 2, knowing that my GPU can do it.

Please Creative Assembly try to fix it, it is a important problem.
