My Rome 2 install problems

I literally received my game moments ago, since the delivery company was late. Now I go and put in my product code and expect to install from the disk. Yet it doesn't let me. Anyone got any help? All it shows is the term, this game cannot be installed.

Bumping for you, given I have the same problem.

Trying to install a retail copy currently. It takes my activation key, says activation succesful, and then pops up with "This game cannot be installed." As I understand it that's usually an issue with trying to install a date-locked game before the released date, but clearly, that should NOT be an issue now. Yes, my system time and date are correct.

Furthermore, trying some of the fixes that were offered to pre-load customers is impossible. The game doesn't even show up in my library, so 'delete local content' is a no go. Trying to input the key directly into steam to download instead results in "This key is already active on your account." But it's still not in the library.

Needless to say, this is a major irritation.

hey guys solved the problem.I had the same problem.Then it stuck me, the entire idea of steam is that it is region locked and the product can only be activated from a particular region. so what you have to do is go to the steam profile and edit profile and enter your country,province state and city and other stuff.Save it and install rome 2 again.mine installed smoothly .Hope yours also get installed .Good Luck Guys

I had the same exact problem. Got home, put the disc in, activated the code and then "This game cannot be installed." Tried two more times, nothing. Then I took steam offline and then back on, and when I tried downloading again it worked. Try restarting steam, or make sure you are online when trying to install.

Ty so much! Johnpcorna, after reading this I immediately restarted steam and it worked.
