What should I do?
Hello at all,

I have played much Shogun 2 and Fall of the Samurai. Loved this two games, run smooth, when I turned every setting to ultra :)

Then CA said "When Shogun 2 runs on ultra You can run rome 2 also on ultra"
Yeah....no xD

I have an Gtx660, an AMD FX(tm)-4170 Quad-Core Processor 4,50GHz, and 16 GB of RAM.
It laggs when units start to fight, on extreme, ultra, very high, even on high -.-
Is there hope that the game will run in some months on Extreme without lagging? :(

Rome 2 battlefields are CPU dependent. My CPU, AMD FX6300tm x6 3.5 GHZ, runs with 45FPS and settings as a mix of Extreme/Ultra (Shadows-Medium) and irrelevant effects OFF.

Patches have improved performance a bit, but more in terms of consistency and stability.

When thousands of men start to fight, the CPU is calculating for each indivdual "man", therefore, latency may start to build up. Whereas before the fight, the men were just walking or running, or just standing and jumping in the air to stay limber. In other words, less demand on the CPU.

Anyway, just some information as I see it...
