Cheap blood pack tricks.
So today I began playing Rome 2 avidly since I found a new mod which really made it playable for me. Now as I played more I enjoyed the blood pack animations more aswell, but I noticed a odd coincidence. There is a blatant lack of limbs and of bodies missing limbs on the battlefield which I never noticed in shogun 2.

So I went to testing the old custom battle to check this out and my itching suspicion was correct: they vanish over time. Also, to top it off they go back to their original owner over time as if they can regrow them. I have one screen set here to show you my findings:

The deadly blow aferwards:

There you have it folks. Poor quality stuff. In shogun 2 I was able to find the remnants of everything, and while I must say it is small with the extra price tag I feel this is ridiculous.

Further findings on a off note, since I am here and am not making another thread, is that agents die when I disband my armies. This proves really annoying when i play with a no agents mod. I lose my only agent without even knowing before hand.

One other thing I find agitating is the soulbonding, as I coin it, of cloaks to the heads which later vanish anyways:

I compare to shogun 2 again since it is only other TW to have decaps, but when a ashigaru is beheaded there is no such issue.

CA allows the fabric to be part of the animation with a clean cut, yet in Rome 2 they still show poor production quality.

Anyways, I thought I would post this here for discussion.

Edit:

By the way I do play this game on max settings aside from DOF and Distortion effects since the heat haze is sort of ugly at times. It also does not downscale since my rig is far more than capable and Unlimited Video Memory is checked in.

For anyone who would assume it was unit detail or etc.

I really haven't noticed....
Keeping tabs on dismembered body parts ain't my thing.

I always take pleasure in surveying the battlefield afterwards. It sort of creates a story of it all in my mind, so missing parts weaken that story.

I personally liked more the style that shogun 2 had for blood and gore. Reminded me about warhammer series :3

could it be that the game downgraded graphics quality due to the amount of graphics memory?

Gtx 780 3GB

The game at max only seems to use 1800mb's of Vram, or at least that's what my monitoring software tells me..

Also, shogun 2 allows this to never occur while using around the same amount.
