Are you getting the Rome 2 launcher?

If so, try clicking on the Napoleon tab..

If I've read the guides right you need to:

Unsubscribe from all Rome 2 mods,

Then Manually delete their files,

Verify cache integrity of Rome2 (this will reinstall missing core files).

If that don't work, I'm afraid I cannot help.

Thanks. what I need to manually delete the files?
Or just the whole game?

1) Go into steam workshop, make sure you have unsubscribed from every mod via the my subscriptions page.

2) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Total War Rome II\data
Carefully delete any file that looks like a mod file and the pic that goes with it. There are Rome 2 data filese here so be careful, so the large files like - models.pack, nomad.pack, tiles.pack are Rome 2's files.

3) Right click Rome 2 in you steam library, properties, local files, then click and run "Verify the integrity of the game cache", let that run and then redownload the missing files.

4) load up Rome 2's laucher, click on mod manager and make sure there are not mods at all present there.

5) click play to see if Rome 2 lauches and is working.

Ps. if you can't find the appdata folder:
- use the program "run" then type in %appdata% then hit enter
- use windows search then type in %appdata% and the folder should pop up.

There's Spec's guide to the process.

I hope it works for you.
