If the Modders can give us 4tpy and seasons. There's no excuse for CA to give us all anything less.

Agree, but one turn per year just flys by to me. I personaly use 2tpy

Seasons= realism= nice step forward and it should have been in with the first expansion. 15 months per turn? 1 season shown per year? far from what we had in mind. A simple summer winter for me would have been sufficient, with current and logical system we have had in place since as far as we can remember.. u know 6 months/2tpy per would have been fine for me.

And for the record? its the 15 yr olds who have little gaming experience and would end up loving this new for them shiny franchise. Its the older generation who see whats the issues are that are mainly the ones who are vocal about it!
You got the age groups the wrong way round dude. Its more like the majority are a bunch of well gamed/deeply experienced grumpy old men who dont wanna take any more ♥♥♥♥! ( me being one of them).

well i play since 2004... and it seems iam the only one that thinks that for example... the province system is deeper than in any other tw... i mean the only limits back then were money... now you have to think about what to build where and why (foord squalor limited slots)

also it seems that im the only one not missing the fam tree. lets be honest you used the generals back then the same as now... check stats move to army. fight. dont care anymore about him... its not a hugeeee deal

also fam tree would make little sense in this period of time. (ahistorical)

and yeah maybe that would make more sense to you with the summer and winter... but community would have gone berserk with the WHAT WE HAD DIFFERENT SEASONS IN NAPOLEON TOO! lolol shogun 2 much better because 4 seasons lololo.

you cant satisfie people in this context.

i have seen someone complain about will saying if you want 4tpy get covered by a mod. lol :)

Have to agree.
Although, have seen, much to my surprise, some usually well-reasoned adults who are also able to overlook this sort of thing and find enjoyment in this game - so they say - I believe them - just don't understand them lol

Seasons in this kind of grand strategy campaign are completely redundant just as they were redundant in Rome 1.

Here's how seasons worked in Rome 1: Turn 83, Winter; I set my army to meet another army. Battle screen comes up. Start Battle. Battle map comes up. Screen is filled with a torrent of snow. [Wait] Flurry of snow [Wait] Clear skies [Done]. Proceed to layout my army and attack. Done.

This happened ad nauseum. There was rarely a time I wanted bad weather on my side. It messes up your units' fatique and morale as well as your archers.

Only situation I could think bad weather might be beneficial would be with an army of nothing but cheap, lightly armored units that can outrun a heavily armed on and even then this is such a bad position to be in that you would actively avoid it.

So again, what are we missing from not having seasons? (bearing in mind we still have regional weather variations) The answer to those with at least half-a-brain is: NOTHING.

If you want realism go join a Roman re-enactor's group. No such thing as realism in games, even games that attempt "realism" are merely just employing granulated abstractions.

Deal with it and move on.

I like how everybody claims to speak for everybody.
I also like the dummies who claim the game is broke when it's their own outdated or poorly made mods preventing them from playing.

All in all just a sad bunch of nerds raging about nerdy stuff. Some can discuss issues like adults, others can't.
