Come back in a few years... they've stated they have "years" worth of DLC available.

So between mods, patches and updates for DLC, you just have to get lucky if you want to complete a campaign, gaming used to be simple.

^^ I know just how you feel ^^

Or you could just opt to "Do not keep this game up to date" in Rome 2's update properties.

@ Spec: I've tried that in the past, but Steam still went and updated it on my behalf, lol!

Disable your mods.

thats a lesson you gotta lern for modding games in general not just rome2. I wanted to play some torchlight2 but well all my saves have mods in it which are outdated. same happened to me in rome2 with patch 7 & 9 and now with 10 again. using mods with an unfinished game is always a problem.

To be honest i don't use any mods except my own graphical one, and earlier today i loaded up and could continue my Rome campaign from release, my Epirus one from patch 5 and my Macedon one from patch 7 with no problems.
Those TPY mods are the biggest cause of save game woes.

you should copy your saved games folder (the one with your saved campaigns)
and then do what's following.
after that just copy the saved games back in and you'll still have them!

-->

"For those who get stuck at the Sega logo screen, follow these steps:

1-
C:UsersAdministrador (or whatever your admin account name is) AppDataRoamingThe Creative AssemblyRome2 (AppData it's hidden)

If you don't find the folder of "AppData"

just search the Folder "Rome" with Ctrl +F will appear Rome2.

Delete the folder Rome2 completly

2-

When we erase that folder we go to.

C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonTotal War Rome IIredist

And we execute and repair(it will appear the option don't worry):

vcredist_x86-90.exe
vcredist_x86-100-sp1.exe
vcredist_x86-80-sp1.exe

And it's done!

Hit the nail on the head, an unfinished game, but the lesson WE as a playerbase need to learn is not to pre-order games made by companies that do this and not to buy DLC that is already available in free mods, but that wont happen, so if there is a game you want to play just bend over, lube up and let whatever publisher is behind you ram their fat, money covered ♥♥♥♥ up your ♥♥♥. Like i said, gaming used to be simple, im gonna stop whining now. =D
