Garrisons are a terrible addition to this game.
Esspecially at the start of the game, you basically need 2 armies to do anything because of the garrison plus their army. This is why I just auto resolve all seige battles, so stupid. This game is just painful to play, I just can't do it. Shogun 2 was much better.

I know right? Especially the small factions. They can already have 2 full stacks in their single city-state, but along with that a half stack sized garrison. Annoying as heck. The small factions only have to focus on their home, so they have all the best buildings as soon as possible.

Agreed

The McShooterz Rome unit and building mod has really helped me deal with this godawful garrison system. The extra building selection and bonus combinations in this mod really leaves your cities better protected while barely changing the game.

Shouldn't need a mod to balance the game. That's supposed to be CA's job. Oh wait, they're making another DLC...

It is a good addition to the game, babarians faction must have strong garrison in their home to add depth into the game. The reason is say is to reflect the celtic people who would defend their homes at all cost. The game severely lack depth like each factions need unique feature. I say Babarians faction should have more movement points than civilize faction.

No maybe we shouldn't, but you can either ♥♥♥♥ and moan or try to fix what's ailin ya.

I don't even play this game anymore. I'm just saying that you shouldn't need a mod to fix game balance. Of course, when I did play, I already had mods enabled.

I notice playing as Rome has the least number of unit garrison and not as strong by a long way Like you said you should not need mods I have 36 and all should have been in game.Skarrs minor faction helps

Exactly right The Cure, god damn it's almost like these noobs want this game to be more dumbed down and easier for them to steam roll.

Op you need 2 armies to take a city or do anything? lol, what's next your army composition consists of 4-6 ballistaes? haha.

Are you playing all those mods at the same time with no big problems
Who Goes Thar Mar 1 @ 2:40pm
You need two armies to face the enemies 3 armies? Sounds about right. The barbarian "garrisons" are about as large as a medium sized army. It doesn't help they can withstand the upkeep of 2 full army stacks.

Yeah, as stated before, nothing wrong with them and they're so easy to destory, even barbarian garrisons.
Who Goes Thar Mar 1 @ 2:54pm
Not when outnumbered 3 to 1. They can hit you in the front with a few troops, and then send the garrisons around. I'm talking about the early game though. In the late game, it's an easy battle. Barbarian factions don't really get as strong late game compared to the major factions.
