Restrict Military Buildings.
Does anybody know of a mod or is there a way to restrict military buildings to just one of each type per province, or even only so many per imperium level. I'm so sick of the A.I spamming barracks like it's the only building in the roster. any help would be much apperciated.

No, never seen such mod. You can always choose to set your campaign difficulty to easy if that helps.

It's not that it makes the campaign too difficult, it's actually because it makes things too easy. Military building don't produce income which means the A.I can't produce many units and just recently I was playing as Pompeii and occupied Italia province, every building was military in the province, I sent a spy to Latinum province and all except 2 were military (not including ports). This is why I was hoping for a mod or some advice on which files to play with to make my own. I know there a way to restrict buildings because certain buildings need tech, can only be built in capital or can't have more than one in a region. Hope that's made things clearer. Thanks for taking the time to reply though :-)

Oh then just increase difficulty then ;-) No worries :-) I am personaly not familiar with all the the building mods in the workshop. I use Radious incombination with a sh.itl.oad of unit mods :-)

PS: if you seek to make your AI more difficult, try "a more aggressive AI" or a "a very aggressive AI" (I use this mod to spice-up the AI resistance)

I use D.E.I mod and play it on hard (VH and above is way to unbalanced for me), I was hoping if I could restrict the construction of these buildings I'd see smarter build choices in provinces and more enemy armies because of the extra income. Thankyou for your suggestiond though, I used to use an agressive A.I mod with radious myself but after I found D.E.I I fell in love lol.

Tried DEI, but this wasn't for m ;-)

I always play the campaign on Very Hard difficulty. Not sure if the suggested AI mods are compatible with DEI (always be a bit carefull with simply adding mods to a campaign overhaul mod, unless specifically mentioned in the modder compatibility notes).

Just contact the modder directly, otherwise you'll risk stopping your current campaign :-(

Goodluck & enjoy this wonderfull game :-)

Could have told us at start you are using DEI mod.

No worries mate, it got solved eventually ;-)

PS: @OP could be that the "barrack spamming" specifically got to do with DEI mod? Its been too long since I've played DEI ;-)

Again, enjoy :-)

@donaldclarke, I've noticed it's a universal thing to do with the A.I. I've used Radious, DEI, and other A.I mods and still the same for me.

@Icecream1973, I know how mods and compatibility works but thankyou for the advice.

I thought at first it had something to do with wanting more garrison troops so I downloaded double garisson mod, even edited it to make triple garrison, but still the same. It's not as bad as every province but theres no logical explaination for having a Roman barracks in every region of a province as well as an auxillary barracks in one of them, they provide nothing but garrison, besides the obvious, and use up food.
Looks like I'll have to keep fiddling with the packfile until I strike gold, so to speak. Thanks for taking the time to help :-)
