Where are the developers?
It's been a few weeks now with no replies from the developers. Is this game still being worked on to fix the Linux issues? When should a patch be coming out?

Linux Mint 14 64bit, Quad core AMD 4100 FX, 8gb Ram, AMD HD4670 512mb Graphics card. Not working at all on this set up, not even launching.

Sorry for weaker support during the last weeks, there were too many ongoing things which we had to address.

But we are completing all other works, so we should be able to improve our support.

Sorry for the problems, we do our best to address all the problems.

When should a patch be available to fix all these issues? It's been over a month now...

I do not dare to give you estimate, sorry. I know it is hard to understand, but it usually is, that by fixing one problem, another two problems come out :( - that's the reason the games are often delayed. I need to talk to the team and see if they can spend some time during holidays on fixing the issues.

However, to assure you - we are still working on the fixes and improvements, even if at some points we may be less responsive.

I know this is offtopic but I'd just like to say that the Linux lovers asking for fixes is cracking me up. Back when I tried Linux for the first time I spent a month just getting online. I had to write the entire code. Linux and waiting go hand in hand.

Not when we are waiting for something we paid for. This is a problem with the game, not with Linux

Money should be refunded to all linux users (ain't gonna happen), I have successfully gotten it working on all major distro's with hybrid nvidia blob / primus. Even at its best - it's weak, the controller and mission issues are across the board, many not platform specific, however the linux brew just makes for a more bitter experience. Not pleased, if you fail missions you start from scratch, some missions cannot be won, it's bascially a mess. Linux newb's can be a pita and the frustration in dealing with them can be challenging. I suggest firing it up on a M$ box and get a look at what your in for if it tickles ya - then work out the glitches - it can be done and it WILL run, Debian (mint, ubuntu), Fedora, Suse, (you need a few buntu libs and some reading will get it working) I am a seasoned vet in life and software - I'm pleased with the effort but not with the results...

Yup - month getting online - betcha you learned a few things too. Ubuntu and Steam are opening new doors getting beyond M$ and I'm behind them all the way, embrace new tecnology and open some doors but games like this without a "demo" version is 1 step forward nd 2 back... But personally I stay away from buntu's, mints n all, stickn' with debian but for newb's mint and unbuntu are fire and forget installs (most of the time LTS releases) - further try 32bit if getting your mind around running 32 libs under 64 os hurts your brain...

I hear ya but think they should just throw whatever project they are working on to make it work at you guys. You're used to it and would probably have it running by the weekend.

Should they waste (throw) time and energies on linux – steam box and os are linux based unless I am misread - (not likely), so yes - they should provide support for the product. Jeepers I can remember bringing the latest greatest home to my kids and going out to buy three video cards the same day as a result of incompatibilities in the M$ world, crap happens! But Jesse James used a gun - these folks are using Steam... (not entirely)
