[OSX Mavericks] Air Conflicts incredibly slow / freezing on launch

Using OSX Mavericks on Macbook Pro 13in with standard graphics and hardware. I launched the game and it immediately froze, but if I move the mouse I get a small response every fifteen seconds or so. The music is unaffected. I don't know what to do.

I have a 27" imac 2010 with 512 ATI VideoCard...

The same problem, regardless of the computer you have. It's a bug.
