At the time of writing this review, I do not have much experience with game engines and I have only played around a bit in Unity, GameMaker 8 and making stuff in Python and Visual Basic. However, I think my review might be useful to other developers who are starting out and don't have much experience with other game engines.
This is one of the "simple" or "easy" game development programs, along with Construct 2 and gDevelop (GameGuru is not one of these), it's designed to be easy, efficient and versatile. You can publish on many different platforms, make both 2D and 3D games (Although it seems to be primarily focused on 2D, but I may be wrong). New developers can learn how game engines work before learning coding by using the simple drag and drop functions. The coding language in this game is also fairly easy, at least compared to other coding languages.
I found it to be very fitting for learning how to develop and re-learn/practice coding and I made a couple of games and impressed friends with them. My skill is still not too advanced but I was surprised at how easy to learn this program is, and how many choices and functions there are despite how simple it is. It does just what a game development program for indie devs should, be simple but not limited.
I definitely recommend this. It's amazing.
