They allow mods?

At GMS no decompiler and hotline miami placed on GMS

The decompiler has current versions 7 and 8, which are not suitable for GMS

And how i can get a Decompiler?
This was my question

(And what i need for it)

In any way, GameMaker Studio was released in 2012 and no one has not cracked, but in order to get a "decompiler" need to crack GMS, that the practical is not an option. Tip: you can forget Pro decompiler

And the more files (images, scripts, etc ...) are sealed in the archives and will be able to open them current source project hotline miami, and there need not decompiler and ask for the source code of the developers of the game, which is not real.

Many have tried to get anything from the project hotline miami, without success. You can not even try

So:
I will make my own game!

Well, this is an option, because it is very easy to make a copy of the hotline miami, see the type of tags - "GameMaker Studio TDS"

Its not that difficult to recreate, but it wouldn't have that same magic. I dare say the killer AI makes it less time consuming to program than gentle AI.

Decompilers go against Yoyo's TOS, but beyond that: Miami, to my understanding, was actually not made in Studio; I believe it's a modified GM8 project, but I could be wrong.

That said, if the developer doesn't have support for mods built in, they probably don't want you ripping their game apart and getting at their source code. Call it a hunch.

I know I always hear how it was made with Game Maker, but its preloader always throws me off and it looks like a preloader more commonly used with Unity. No one wants you ripping apart their source code. Games that have made their sources public or had them decompiled like Flash games have had several rip offs.

you guys are all talking thrash. Hotline Miami was made in GM7 and i have the .gmk file. you just have to either way import the .gmk file to studio,or open it in GM8.

Decompilers wont work on games that are protected, and most games made on GM7, and GM8 are protected, how? Thats a secret, everyone figures out a different way of doing it, some ways are public but chances are an experienced programmer such as them, has figured out a different way.

That doesn't mean you cant, you'd just need to do it the old fashioned way and stop being a 'script-kitty',

You also should read the TOS for owning HL:M, which says in it, that any modding; using original source code is against the TOS. So you should just try figuring out what you can and cant mod, before breaking the law by decompiling source code of a game.

And no, before you claim this; its not fair use, your still using the original product to make the mod, unless you change everything, and at that point you might as well make your own game. Like, how do you expect people to install your mod? Did you just have this idea without any actual clue on how modding works and what the laws are behind it?
