Teaching programming in GML and use of GMS!
New to GM? Want to make great games? Frequent bugs and errors in code?
Want to learn GML? Then you found the right place!

Ive already made one topic like that few months ago.
I'm ready to accept new batch of students, willing to learn how to code in GML and work in Game Maker Studio, in general.
I'm available on steam most of the time and people who learn from me are always happy with the results. Just add me on steam and we can start!

You will have to think about it and group them in your mind for a moment. Not all sprites are shown in not all situations. Try to move menu graphics to one texture group, Some specific level's graphics to some other group, etcetera..
Use draw_texture_flush(); to remove all graphics from the memory.
When specific sprite or background is required to play, it will be loaded back into the game(along with the entire texture page/group it is in).
Example: Have all main menu graphics in one texture page and when you leave main menu and start game flush textures to remove them from memory since you don't need them anymore.
You will need some time to adjust it just right, but you'll get to it.

Now lets go one level further: in Global Game Settings > [your platform] > Graphics you have "Texture Page" part where you can choose the size and Preview it. Press preview for GMS to generate texture pages for you to view. If you grouped textures a way that makes all those texture pages mostly blank, then they are probably too big and you can decrease their size. If you can, that's good, if you can't without problems, then don't. Smaller file will take less memory.

With PRO you can make texture groups, I don't know if versions below that let you use draw_texture_flush, Ive started with professional.
