Ran Across a glitch

So I just had spr_bullet5 overwrite my other sprites and no; I don' thave a virus on my computer. I do constant checks and updates for my computer and I don't visit bad sites.
The only things I use are google docs, google sheets and youtube.

Along with .gov sites of the U.S. and I have windows defender. So it's not a virus because it's only happening with Gamemaker.

The files were over written for the image for some reason; is the game enigne only able to handle so many images? Why am I experiencing this glitch? How did I trigger this glitch?

My only guess is if I make too many images it will cause it to glitch out; which I did create about 350 images.

I have had similar issues when adding new audio as it would overwrite some of the other audio that would play. All I have to do whenever that happens is press the clean build button (the little broom beside the add sprite button or from the 'run' menu tab).

I'll try doing that more often.

I take it that the issue is resolved then. You shouldn’t need to clean your build overly frequently. On the odd occasion and when you get weird things like the examples discussed here will do fine. You should also clean your build right before you create an executable version of your game.

Yeah it's fixed and I'll keep this mind in the future as well.

This whole post is a joke right? Most GameMaker users would not assume it's a virus, because I don't believe anyone would waste the time to make a virus that targets GameMaker.

Also windows defender... Lulz...

I mistake typed; I meant to say that no, no viruses on my computer from other applications. Some programmers make viruses targeting speffic games like same people make virsuses to lock off certian programs or to ♥♥♥♥ with programs and or to have virsuses that just ♥♥♥♥ with the computer. I'm not saying that I got a virus from gamemaker.
