Loving the game so far- (Disabling/Halting Leaderboard Functions)
But how do I disable the leaderboards/timed replay function? As it is, it distracts me from what I enjoy out of the game; re-exploring levels, optimizing strategy etc. I imagine there is a very obvious option that I'm missing out on, but to further clarify: I'd like to disable loading/receiving leaderboard data. The latter especially seems to lag, sometimes even freeze my game.

Other than that, this is a fantastic game and I cannot sing it's praises enough. The translation is ace work, too - humorous, engaging, and just all-around-enjoyable. Thanks!

Edit: Added what my problem is in the topic title.

We are trying to pin down what is causing the leaderboard problems as some people have them and others don't. Thanks for the kind words.

No worries - for me, at least, a quick ctrl-alt-delete seems to fix the problem, and the games save often enough to prevent it being a real nuisance. I know how much effort it takes to translate/localize a game/port, and how important it can be to hear that you've done well. I nearly missed out on this gem - I truly hope that our appreciation (and hopefully, some good sales figures!) will encourage you to keep up the hard work and share more quality games!

Do you have any sort of internet setup that might affect the transmission of the data (firewall settings/proxy settings/etc). Others have mentioned the issue, too, and so I'd like to get it fixed if we can.

Not at the moment; I tried experimenting with my firewall/antiviral settings both in 'game'/silent mode and hard-disabled (making sure all associated processes were switched off) and that seemed to have no effect. My internet is very patchy here, often failing for a few seconds then refreshing and renewing itself equally quickly.

I am beginning to suspect that what happens is that if internet access is lost in-game while data transmission is occurring, that is what causes the freezes. I have not tested this enough to have a positive correlation, nor can I speak for others who have similar problems, but so far attempts to isolate the usual suspects have not given me anything reproducible.

(Short ver: I think that for whatever reason, either Half-Minute Hero or Steam react poorly to sudden change in internet connectivity, causing lag/freezes.)

That's all I've got right now, but I hope it helps. I'll let you know if I can reproduce the leaderboard problems, and how.

Thanks. We are trying to repro the problem here and not having any luck....

Can't you just add a toggle in the options to disable sending data to leaderboards? I don't really feel the need to "show them online".
