Simply beating every stage and getting through the stories is fairly easy. Getting the achievements and going for the top times can be pretty hard and is definitely challenging. Finding all the equipment, allies, alternate paths, and all the other secrets adds a lot of replay value. Despite the game premise, this game has a lot of content and can actually be very lengthy.

There are some stages where you simply get Satan's power and crush everything with impunity. Leaderboards add to the competitive spirit.

Well don't forget that if you don't at least make an attempt on the last devil level to find the treasures in it that you get a Game Over, evil lord defeated or not.

The fun-factor comes out of the following:

-The pace of the game
-The multitude of choices which you can make to complete a level, which will result in different times, achievements and paths to complete the story on.
-The multitude of game modes, if you become tired of the main game itself.
-The ability to challenge yourself to do better

The multiplayer experience will also provide you with the ability to challenge your friends' abilities to think on their feet, as well as strategize around their movements.

As far as the game's difficulty goes, you decide how hard the game is going to be. Do you just want to complete levels and get through the game, or do you want the best times? Do you want to take an easy route out of the level and just complete it at a low time, or the much harder route and complete it at a faster time, get better weapons and equipment, etc.?

This is a game reliant on choice as well as quick thinking. If you like games which will challenge you on that level, you will find it very enjoyable.
