Retro mode or new graphics?

Retro mode is the only mode on the psp version, and I'd say it is the right mode. Use either one you want though, its your pick.

I noticed that for some reason, Princess 30 and Evil Lord 30 are unlocked from the beginning in Retro, but not in new.

I play retro because I love 8-bit games. Also I played it on the psp so the retro graphics are the only way I can play it without it looking weird to me. The only annoying this is that the game always defaults to the new graphics when you start it up.

I also use Retro graphics because the font of the new graphics looks very bad on a 1366x768 screen.

you might as well use retro for some reason when i decided to look at the new graphics for princess 30 when i select single player when in the new graphics all i saw was hero 30 either they didn't do it for the other modes or something weird going on

Retro mode definitely. The Neo Cartoon mode gives the game a cheap flash game aspect.

I enjoy new graphics better. Retro look is cool in short bursts but kinda strain my eyes after a while.

I think the art in the cutscenes are different between modes too. Cutscenes as in..well.. you know what I mean.

Another vote for retro mode. But really this game is good enough to do a run through in both styles for ya to decide for yourself! :D

Retro is my go-to. I wish there was a way to set it as the default at launch (maybe there is, I don't know)!

The problem is that the scaling is absolutely horrible with the new cartoon style.
Do the devs not know about filters for when sprites are streched !?

For me, cartoon mode is unplayable because of that.
