That and I have 15 ten minute parts and half of them are kinda boring lol (bandicam trial hehe)
I think after awhile it starts to get better though, once I start to learn to pick up the pace,
and keep momentum.
I could restart the LP all over, but it might be better just to skip to like part 5 or something.
If there's enough demand I'll either purchase the full version of bandicam, or use a video editor
to paste several videos together and make larger episodes; though unfortunately i'm kinda
lazy so it'll take some effort and a real reason for me to push myself to do that. :)
I really appreciate the people who have took the time to watch the video(s) and comment,
it really makes me feel it was worth it, whether the comments turn out positive or negative.
I've watched a fair few of your vids at work today - first of all THANK YOU for being the first to actually bother to do an English LP on this - secondly do not knock yourself because you are new, anyone that bashes you for doing a first time job needs a slapping.
You are clear and informative, you have a pleasant and non-irritating voice, you explain what you are doing and go in-depth about things that may not be immediately apparent - these are all signs of a quality up-and-coming tuber.
2 more observations i'd point out to you though are:
1 - You cannot see the mouse cursor in any of the videos, at first i thought it was me being an old man but nope .... no cursor so all the time you are saying "here is this" and "this is that" ... you can't see what you are "pointing" at.
2 - This is not a huge deal but since im at work i like to let an LP just run and listen to it - Your entire playlist is backwards.
Regardless do not give up because you are doing a very good job on selling me the game - when i left off you had just made your jump to Hedes and were being accosted by a persistent pirate - i plan to watch the rest and make a decision on a purchase in a moment.
Well done!
I'm currently working on a second LP series for SR HD, kinda re-doing it.
Hopefully it will end up being better and not worse, since it's less informative than the first one, since I tried to move things along a little quicker.
I apologize for the mouse cursor issue I fixed it in a later video,
I didn't realize Bandicam had it disabled.
I'm not sure how to set up playlists, etc, yet, but am planning to figure that out hopefully soon.
I'll post a link to the re-newed LP series soon and hopefully you'll like it as much or more than
my first attempt.
(I personally think I sound a little too 'robotic' at times on the new one, but I should
lighten up by the second episode.
Also on my new LP series I used AVS to edit several parts together, however this left
a slight side effect; a weird kind of pulsing in the screen, I don't know if I can fix that
but we'll see.
Again thanks, I really appreciate the feedback!
I am just looking to see someone play that knows whats going on. Explain what you are doing, and enjoy the game. Regular commentary throughout is necessary for a viewer such as myself (you did fine!)
Keep at it.
Question: Is the only different when chosing a 'personality' the type of ship you start with? The game talks about having a pirate profession, how would that work?
I've only been to one once, so i'm not completely sure; i've never played as a pirate
myself.
But basically it's more about what you do after you've started the game, than your starting ship.. however your starting ship can still make a bit of a difference, for example starting with a pirate ship would allow you to be better at pirating, since the pirate starter ship i'd assume is much better at combat than the merchant starting ship.
The video only uploaded to 360p, but I have an idea what went wrong and am already
at work fixing and re-uploading it.
(episode 2 is uploading in 360p and i will fix that one next.)
Sorry about that guys, hope you can bear with me.
EDIT:
I'm such an idiot, sorry guys I forgot youtube takes awhile to process high quality videos.
So there's no fixing required.
(Plus I took a little break from playing last night and this morning.)
Also I think I may have figured out what was causing that crackling audio issue, and
hopefully it should be fixed for episodes 4+ when they're released.
