Thirty Flights of Loving

Thirty Flights of Loving

Run! A story!
Aahhh! A story that doesn't fully explain itself! Walking! Expensiveness! Brain usage! Shortness!

The horror.

This is what really drives me away from game development. Why work so hard on something 20 times more in depth than most other games, tv shows or movies to just have the community turn around and crap completely all over you because you expect people to pay for it.
sounds like an indie!

Damn straight.
Can someone please explain to me why this isn't a piece of ♥♥♥♥ game? Especially why anyone thinks it's worth the 10 bucks I spent on it?

The graphics are horrible, there's no actual gameplay, which means it's story driven. Cool, I like story games. But there is hardly a story, some people got together and did a robbery that failed. Oh my god! the art! the magic! Do you seriously think that there's some deeper level to this? It's crap, it shouldn't even be on steam and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that made this doesn't deserve my money.

If you answer these following questions the game will be more rewarding:
TFOL:
1) How do you design a game where you must adjust for your lack in art skills by making it up with your programming skills?
2) How do you design a level to seem bigger than it actually is?
3) Who did you have sex with in the game? Why?
4) Why is antia trying to kill you?
5) Why was pink and black used instead of any other colors?
6) What happens when you touch the ducks?
7) What is the small story happening with the cats?
8) What place did they rob and why?

Gravity Bone:
1) Who are you and why are you doing these things?
2) Who is the lady? Do you know her?
3) What documentions were those?
4) What did the birds do?

General:
1) How was technology from TFOL and Gravity Bone cross used? Was it a good thing? Why and/or Why not?
2) Why bundle these two games? Are they related or just by the same developer?
3) Why do people with higher play-times enjoy the game way more than people with lower play-times, do you think the lower play-times are missing something?
4) How much would you charge if you made a game? Why?
5) How much time do you think went into TFOL?

Although you probably aren't going to go back and play the game enough to answer this all, I do suspect that is the problem in itself. This game doesn't delivery you everything on a silver platter. What if the object of the game is to get to a different ending and no one has said anything yet.

Wait. There are other endings? Now I'm confused. Some of the story definately left me confused haha.

I never said anything about a different ending, just that it could be possible for one to exist.

So what you saying is they charge you $10 to do a 3rd grade book report? So then Bibulous_Blanket is correct, this isnt a game and doesnt belong on steam.
No I was saying if you can't answer those basic questions then you probably haven't played the game enough to understand why the game SHOULD be on steam. This isn't a bad game by any stretch of the imagination. I use to be an indie game reviewer in which I saw a lot of cash grab games. This isn't one of them. Even though it takes only a few minutes to play you can tell it took a lot for one person to create. This isn't a cash grab, it's the definition of an indie game. Someone spent a large amount of time, researching and making the little details perfect. They put things that make them, them into the game. It not only tells you a great story of the game's characters but a bit about the developer and his life. I've never met the guy but I can tell you we both feel the same about oranges.

Except many people do consider it a cash grab, just look at most of the threads in this forum. This "game" did/should not take much time or effort to create. Most of the "work" was already done by premade game engine. If they chose to program it from scrath that makes them stupid.
So you obviously no nothing of game design or development. A lot of people don't see this as a cash grab. A lot of people don't say anything at all. Note all the review sites give it a higher score than most users whom have reviewed it. This isn't typical of an indie game. The issue that some people just don't want to spend the time to understand, they find it as work.
It's five dollars.
