Hint: If you are 12 and 2 bucks is big money to you go elswhere - I thought it was pretty cool
I enjoyed this game. Cool art, cool music, intriging atmosphere. The story wasnt groundbreaking but it told a story in a challenging way that made me think.

It could have been longer. No, you dont get to shoot anything. There are no big ♥♥♥♥.

For those of you complaining about being ripped off -- its 2 bucks for ♥♥♥♥'s sake. I spent more on my coffee break today

Yeah, I have to agree that a lot of the hate for this game is rediculous.

... Wow sence? That isn't even the right spelling of sense which would be wrong in this context. You want the word cents.

I just had to laugh at this, especially after:

Eh, ridiculous vs sense I mean I misspelled by one letter. He completely misspelled with poor grammar.

Edit: it seems the forum quoting system isn't quoting right. I typed everything after the line.

What? I don't use the free dictionary, that would be like using wiktionary. They aren't really repetital sources. I'd go with Oxford or Princeton. Either way this is really not the point of the thread.

Are you trying to say reputable?

Yup typoed. I am working on programming so I am not really paying attention but thanks for catching it.

That seems like a pretty convenient excuse. Doesn't it suck when people pick apart your grammar and spelling?

Not really. It's not really convenient, I am working on SFML with THOR right now. http://www.bromeon.ch/libraries/thor/tutorials.html Which is taking more of my concentration but you seemed to have missed the point entirely why pointed out his mistake against mine. Mine are once off typos written in haste. Anyways I still think the hate for this game is over the top.

What if I'm 30, married, and I consult my wife whenever I want to spend $1 (usually on Humble Bundle)? I need to know that what I am buying is worth the cost because if I can't make a convincing argument she won't let me. Yeah she has my nuts in a vice but whenever she wants to buy ♥♥♥♥ I do the same thing to her... that's marriage.
I am married too. This isn't a healthy fiscal relationship in my opinion. Either way if you didn't feel this game was worth a dollar then you should have done more research but also blame the 10 other games in the bundle. Even so if you convinced your wife that you really wanted this game for 5 dollars or etc then why didn't you actually make sure you wanted it? Maybe just watched a youtube playthrough or anything else? Sounds like you are just off loading your opinion as a consumer on the developer in which is selling a fine product. You can't go into starbucks, order a latte and then tell them you want your money back because you didn't like it. It probably wouldn't happen, if it did they certainly didn't have any legally binding reason to give you your money back.

My only point is that it doesn't really matter how cheap a game gets... people like me still value reading the opinions of others. Yeah a lot of games get ♥♥♥♥ on for no particular reason (I've been greatly enjoying Blood Bowl after buying it for $1 and the steam community forum for it is filled with people saying it is a ♥♥♥♥ty game) but even if they're wrong about the game I still value their opinion.
I think the point of this topic isn't that the opinions aren't welcome but they aren't constructive. "lol game sux burn in hell kthxbai" is one of the things I've seen posted and I can't believe it. It's like people don't understand that a game is much more valuable than just wasting time but people don't want to seem to have to think when playing a game.

I can understand that but we can't expect people to make constructive arguments. Hell just look at the US government. Those are adults that other adults elected to their positions and not all of them can make constructive arguments. You'd expect better from the internet?

Perhaps I just got a little sensitive when the title of the thread insinuates that if $2 is a significant amount to you then you must be a child.
Regardless of feedback I will say if you think 2 dollars is a lot of money for a game and you get mad when you can't afford when you don't feel you got your full monies worth then you shouldn't be buying it in the first place. Sure I remember the days of gaming where you bought one game and it had enough content to last years. Maybe they would put out one or two expansion packs a long the way. I remember the original half-life, all those free mods and etc. Bunch of great games came out of the goldsource engine. What people failed to realize is that it costs a lot of time to make a game. Hell I am making a few right now and it's taking a long time just to make a 2D game.

In the end you have a luxury item in front of you. If you can't afford the games for it then there are plenty of free ones. Don't get mad when you spend money on a game you didn't research enough.
