DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
Just saving you time and a small amount of money. Even if it was free, it would barley be worth your time.

This is comming from a guy who liked Dear Esther, Gone Home, and the like.

Just a friendly heads up.

It's on my wishlist, but the only way I'll actually buy it is when there's a -100% sale.

And why not?

Unless your brain is incapable of understanding a story if the game doesn't treat you like an idiot and explains every little detail to you.

I agree with Discussion_Acc. If nothing else, the music is excellent, and easily worth the $1.20
And it's a fun experience. I really enjoyed it, and I didn't like Dear Esther or Gone Home.

Also play Gravity Bone. TFOL is a beautiful narrative with some awesome music from Lord Chris Remo. Of the hundreds of games I have on my Steam account alone, I consider this one of my favorites. It is absolutely a virtual piece of art.

Hmm.

I like it. I think it's cool.

It's 5 minutes long...it would be easier to just watch it on youtube.

I hope Quad Cowboy is more of an actual game.

It was a clichéd and tired narrative, although slightly more novel to have such a narrative in a 'game'. Yet very easy to understand.

As Hunter said, just spend 8 mins or so watching a play through on youtube. You've then seen the entire game and had just as much 'gameplay' as the game itself offers.

Buy the game, and love it.

DEAR ESTHER IS A GREAT STORY!! I could find how some other people could find it a 'waste of time and money', but you dont play it for the action. The game was ment to be more of a story that the player could emerse themsleves in while trying to get to the center of an abandoned, beatiful game. Thirt-Flights of Loving is exactly the same. Sure, it is short and confusing, but thats becasue the developers wanted it to be like that; they wanted the player to try to connect more and think about what is going on and how the charecters are feeling. If you still don''t find the game interesting or worth YOUR time and money, fine by me. Just don't force your opinions or thoughts onto/into the public just because you think its right.

That was a game? A game involves choice and consequences, even if you have to end up the same place each time. TFOL is just a click-through movie. Even if it is "art". The "game" ended and I thought, "Is that it?". I hope I bought this for the dollar twenty. Any more than that is too much for what is delivered. Maybe you have to take thirty flights to actually figure it all out.

As for Gravity Bone, that at least is playable. Until the second mission where I cannot see how to proceed at all.

wat? So every game that's not Mass Effect or The Walking Dead isn't a game?

I get this urge to buy every game that someone says DON'T BUY (especially the ones in all caps.) Look, posting your opinion about a game is fine, but outright saying don't buy and not providing any insight as to why you shouldn't buy is not.
