Also when she does lie and guilt trip people she's usually just joking around. She has a sarcastic sense of humor, but I seriously doubt she actually means any harm by it since she's a comedian.
Also the game is done in a comedic light on purpose, some of the characters and things said/done are over the top on purpose.
Also she apparently works, so she's not that parasitic.
A psychopath, especially in a borderline case, isn't necessarily going out of their way to hurt others. She might not mean any harm by it - that doesn't mean she's not causing harm ;)
Wonderful, that's just another problem I have to deal with. :(
In anime, the need for friendship overpowers all. If there are people to made friends of, then damn it, nothing else matters. The question of psychopathy is irrelevant in the animeverse.
*reads all checklist* Yo man have you been spying on me, that aint cool, man!
Mairu showed empathy or pity for her candy store owner friend Amane when she chose to sell the store, though it might most possibly cause the owner leaving the town and interrupt her recruitment, the choice made is still not of large profit to her.We can see she spiritually accept the sittuation,"praised" Amane for her self-made choice and continue the friendship as usual in the later story(I've not encountered the event of Mairu stops Amane joining the club, but an bad ending in the first round.),which telling she's not psychopathic,at least not a "psychopath".
Mairu is less possibly a pathological lyer, she's just too much like a child. She lies for face,as many children do.She got angry and awkward when Hoemi blamed her for bad advice for her, which can be deemed childish, also.
We may think about this:what Mairu do in the work is all for the purpose of recruitment,as I mentioned above, empathy for Amane is also affiliated to losing the potential recruit.BUT,we should also take that the story is in Japanese manga style, which is always unrealistic and the game is small, compact and a bit "minimalist" for adding some deeper discription.
Very hilarious and worth thinking and marking.Well done.
