Resolution problems?
When I try to change it to 1920x1080 in fullscreen it changes it to 640x480. Why could this be? Also when I try to turn up anti-aliasing in fullscreen it crashes. Everything is fine in windowed mode though; I can turn everything to maximum settings.

Hmmm, that's a weird one indeed! Are you by any chance running Freesia on a laptop? Wouldn't you mind to post your system specs just in case?

mmm, just to clear this one out, do you have 3D stereoscopic mode enabled? Disable that first.

Mmm, could also be some outdated part of DirectX, see if updating it via this link helps:

I'm not playing on a laptop.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Nvidia GTX 560
8 gigs of RAM
64-bit Windows Vista

How would I check if 3D stereoscopic mode is enabled and how would I turn it off?

Oh, you can find that via Start > Control Panel > Nvidia Settings/Control Panel (Or an option about Nvidia). From there you can explore the different 3D card options (these can help you with other games, improving performance and such)

Should be an option on the left side.

Oh, if you are using multiple screens, check if enabling a single screen helps.

Alright. I don't have Stereoscopic 3D enabled and I only have one monitor.

well I can't change the aspect ratio or it crashes, which sucks cause i'm playing at 1280x1024 anything else my game slows down too much

While we are on the subject of resolution, DirectX and most games developerment APIs or engines provide the means to grab the resolutions available to the system from the drivers themselves. Can you please use it, because your game supports 1680x1050 fine for the most part, its just a shame I had to hex edit the exe to get it to work.

Also forcing the game to my desktops native resolution makes DirectX throw the error "StretchRech is Invalid call" my desktop resolution is 5040x1050, aspect ratio of 48:10. Its a shame because it looks like the game might render half decent at that res, as the FoV seems to be correct for increasing aspect ratios and the UI doesn't stretch.
