I've contacted Nyu Media regarding this and they gave me the following answer:

I received an answer to how to unlock the Fab Five achievement. Apparently there are numerous ways to do it, including the following:

* Adjust skill stats to maximize Attack power.
* Equip the Dying Rat optional skill and put it to use when you are close to dying
* Equip the Direct Volley optional skill and successfully hit an enemy flying 3 times.

Hope this helps! :)

I don't even understand direct volley, it says hitting an enemy without them touching the ground, but I can get the combo to 999 on one enemy without them touching the ground I still do the same damage numbers... Do I need to be in the air as well?
[edit]well now it's at 3.00, I'm checking to see if the damage multiplier is effected by pinballing enemies into each other, i'm assuming if I see RED damage numbers i'm doing more damage?
[edit 2] got it to 3.35 using pinball wizard and just revenge, and launching one enemy into like 8 other enemies at least 3 times

I have yet to unlock this achievement myself, but I did manage to get my attack modifier to 4.05 by juggling the two enemies in the air in the Training mode. I used STR Boost and Direct Volley optional skills, if I remember correctly. Freesia was at level 99, which helped to maximize Attack power.

well i'm not surprised this is the least earned achievement (only <0.1% of steam players got it...)
I may just go finish the rest of the achievements and come back to this...

I have 32/50 achievements at the moment.

49/50 here. I'm only missing Fab Five, which is the hardest to get. :(

how did you get endless waltz? having trouble with that as well...

46/50 here. These were surely some damn fun achievements to aim for mostly, right? Although I agree Fab Five is just pure brutality. I guess one of the best places to go for it is Guardian Mode's later stages: plenty of stuf spawning everywhere, resilient enough that you can punch and kick it until the multiplier hits 5.

Like I said in another thread:

For those having troubles with unlocking "Quadruple Axle" and "Endless Waltz" achievements like I did, I have a solution:

Instead of bouncing enemies in the air with combination of different skills, just keep using the "Ether Saber 2" basic skill (down, up, and attack) the whole time, until you eventually unlock both achievements. That's how I did it. It can also be done in the training mode.
To make it more clear, I got both achievements in the training mode by keeping both enemies on the right edge of the stage, juggling them in the air with the "Ether Saber 2" basic skill.

yeah that's EXACTLY what i'm doing i got quadruple axle, I still only get like 5 hits before i hit the roof and can't hit them with saber2,
still dont understand what counts as bouncing... launching up i guess but I did launch an enemy like 7-8 times in one combo...

I got 50/50! Yay! Took me about 3 days to get them all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBR2RzTsHKY (didn't make this video, but it shows how to do Fab Five)

Hahaha, get it? Fab 5...Attack x5, on Day 5.

Level and STR don't matter, just use Dying Rat and Direct Volley. The boss will crush your HP really fast if you let it, but this is what you have to do to maximize the bonus from Dying Rat. You should have just a sliver of HP left when you begin to execute the bounce combo. With 3 bounces (apparently bouncing an enemy off the hulking golem counts as well) the combined multiplier from Dying Rat and Direct Volley should exceed 5, thus granting you the achievement. I did this the same way as shown in the video, and it worked, but it was HELL...I died so many times, since when you get the Dying Rat bonus maximized, 1 hit from literally anything will kill you.

Also, Fists of Fairy (deal 1000 damage with a single hit) is a little bit tricky if you're lazy and don't want to spend hours grinding to max level on the same boss fight over and over. I got it by grinding to level 48 on the giant vortex boss, equipped STR boost and Dying Rat, and the counter attack move (starts with a T, can't spell it.) Get down to a sliver of HP (maximizing the Dying Rat modifier) and counter attack one of the stretchy punching golems that spawn around the vortex. The damage seems to have random variance, but do it enough times and it should hit 1k. For some reason, the stretchy golems seem to take more damage than the other enemies. There's probably an easier way to do this, though...just saying this worked for me. (was on Easy difficulty for this, if that matters)

I got Endless Waltz the way MP83 mentioned. Training mode, and just juggle the baddies over and over with Ether Saber 2 (down, up + attack) against the wall. Took a while to get the timing right, though. Fab Five isn't doable with the juggle in Training mode, though, since Dying Rat is impossible to maximize...your HP refills every time you take damage, to prevent you from dying, and the baddies don't damage you hardly at all anyways.

Thanks! It really was fun playing and collecting them all. Great game! ^_^

what the, how did- god see this whole time I thought direct volley you just had to combo them in the air to increase damage, judging from the video the damage increases per bounce... the skill descriptions are so misleading...
