Mmm, sounds like perhaps it didn't download correctly. Since it's so small, try to re-download the demo or go to the official site and retrieve the DRM-free version of the demo just in case: http://fairybloomfreesia.com

(You can also try to run the exe straight from your Steam folder, that's what I do when Steam suddenly decides to bork files or stops working properly.)

I'm having a similar issue with the full version of the game. I bought it for my girlfriend but when she clicks on it in her library it says "Launching Fairy Bloom Freesia" (and on my system I see if pop up and see she's playing it) but then nothing happens. I've already updated her video drivers not sure what else I should be looking for.

A couple of hours ago I was having this issue but with another game on Steam and it has happened several times with Dark Souls. I closed Steam and reset the computer, then re-ran Steam and an update window popped. Tried the game again and it worked. So, yep, try resetting the comp and reopening Steam just in case.

Else, go to the game exe in the Steam folder. In this case: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fairy Bloom Freesia and run it from there. That should work too.

I can't even get the demo to install from Steam. I click on the demo button on the store page and nothing happens. If the devs are reading this, they might want to get that checked; if the demo link is broken it's not going to help sales.

I did get the stand-alone trial from their website, though, I'll give it a try later.

Steam seems to have been overrun by gremlins over this past week or so. The demo download link is working now.

i can't even read the text on what appears to be the demo launcher... it's either another language or just plain garbled. says something about "old version" though. would like to try this game before making a purchase.

actually, this demo seems completely broken. i guess it was trying to update from a server that doesn't exist. well, forget this.
