Problem Saving
Technically, I have the Desura version, but this was the closest thing to a help section for the game I could find... I played yesterday, got up until after the Plum boss, saving after every single day I completed... and then today: My save file's gone. And when I started up the game, it had me pick my language and all that again, saying it was my first time playing. Any ideas?

Edit: I just played through a single day, saved, quit the game, and checked the "save" folder for Freesia, and it was empty... but I could load the save when I started the game back up again... wtf?

Wait, my save folder's empty as well. Huh. I'm going to look into this.

Edit: I'm stupid. Which save folder are you looking in? C:\Program Files\Freesia\data\save or something? Because I just checked back through the forum and remembered that the save data (at least for the Steam version) is actually in
C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\FairyBloomRe\data\save
(actually, I read this again, I didn't remember)

Edit again: Since it saves to your user account, running the game as a different Windows user would probably cause the saves to disappear, since the game wouldn't be able to find them; config.dat and system.dat are also in there, so it would reset your settings as well. Did you do that?

(I have edited this post a LOT.)

Okay, I see the save data there, but that doesn't explain why the save file from yesterday disappeared. and no, I'm on the same user account.

Hmm. Strange. No idea what might have happened to it. You could try searching your hard drive for st0000.sav (first story mode save slot) or config.dat, I guess?

If it was there, it would have shown up when I went to "Continue Game", would it not?
