Try one or more of these standard fixes:
* restart computer and/or Steam
* verify game files through Steam
* apply compatibility settings to the game executable
* if possible, tell your computer to direct the game to an integrated graphics card rather than a dedicated one
For the 3d: set the Stereoscopic 3D to always off by going to the Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings and setting this to off
You could also try turning off Data Execution Protection for this program to work. Here is the step by step
1. Start Menu -> Control Panel
2. System
3. Advanced System Settings
4. Under 'Advanced" tab, the top setting is Performance. Select the 'Settings" button in the performance part.
5. Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab.
6. The option "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select"
7. Push 'Add'
8. Find where you Fairy Bloom Freesia's executable file is stored. For me it was found in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fairy Bloom Freesia
9. Push open to close this window. There should be a checked checkbox with FairyBloomFreesia next to it.
10. You are done, try to open the game. If it asks you to update, don't, as that is for the Japanese version not the English version of the game.
if your running Windows 8.1. some users had to supply a missing file called X3DAudio1_7.dll. searching for this file and going to the 'Microsoft Answers' link listed. You can download a Direct X update that includes this missing file there. Check your 'Downloads' tab in Windows for 'dxwebsetup' , or just your most recent download. After applying this update, the game starts properly. You still receive a prompt to update the game itself when it starts. Just say no to this prompt.
This is the fix I've heard fixed the same problem (all 3d models disappearing) in Fairy Bloom Freesia in the past. Maybe try a Google search for "[name of your graphics card] stereoscopic 3D"? There seem to be some other people who've had trouble figuring out how to fix it too though.
